'Watford - Through our eyes' is a group photography and creative writing project, looking at historical and present day Watford.

We are a group of people from Guideposts Trust in Watford who, for three months, worked with Watford Museum on a project funded by a small grant from Herts Museums supported by Renaissance East. The project included;

  • An introductory workshop on digital photography and composition delivered by a tutor from West Herts College.
  • An inspiring historical 'High Street Trail' conducted by Watford Museum.
  • A creative writing session working on 'free writing' techniques.

This resulted in group and individual photography throughout the Watford area. This serves as an insight into our lives in Watford. Watford is an area of many contrasts one of which is the diversity between the historical and modern buildings and surrounding green spaces.

We hope you enjoy browsing our work, which can be found in the 'Stories' section of this website.
